With continued demand for housing and an aging workforce\, skilled trades professionals will remain in high demand for years to come.Join the Canadian Home Builders' Association Central Okanagan at Okanagan College for an evening designed to introduce students and families to the many career opportunities available in the residential construction industry.Once you register\, you will find the website links to register for the STUDENT WORKSHOP and PARENT PANEL PRESENTATIONS in your confirmation email. Please ensure your email address is correct when registering. FOR STUDENTS ($10 TICKET FOR UP TO 3 WORKSHOPS)\nStudents can choose from 13 different trades and participate in up to three hands-on workshops throughout the evening. From carpentry and electrical to automotive\, welding\, aerospace\, culinary and more\, students will have the opportunity to experience different career paths firsthand.Student registration is $10 and non-refundable. The fee is the same whether a student participates in one\, two or three workshops. Workshop spaces are limited to 16 students per session and are available on a first-come\, first-served basis. This ticket includes a light dinner.
