Overview:

GEM Quality Homes is a custom home building and general contracting company based out of Vernon, BC who focusus on quality, systems, and delivering a well-organized experience.

We are offering a unique opportunity to join our team in a key pre-construction role. We have a strong project pipeline and an established workflow. As we refine our systems, we need the right person to work directly with ownership and become integral to how we deliver our projects.

This is a career for someone who takes pride in organization, professionalism, and being a key part of a high-performing team.

Duties:

You’ll manage the pre-construction phase, making sure everything is organized and permit-ready before we build. You’ll work with ownership—Graham and Amanda—along with clients, our internal team, and consultants to move projects from concept to permit-ready drawings and budgets.

Key responsibilities: You’ll guide clients, coordinate drawings, work with engineers, surveyors, municipalities, gather pricing from trades, manage client selections, and keep everything documented.

Skills/Experience:

We’re looking for someone extremely organized, a strong communicator, professional, positive, able to handle multiple projects, and with a good design sense. Formal design experience isn’t required, but experience in construction or coordination is a plus.

Compensation:

Compensation includes a competitive salary, health benefits, pension plan, and schedule flexibility: five days or even four days a week for the right person.

Pay will be based upon the candidates skills and experience level.

This is a key role directly alongside ownership, with long-term career growth.
